Apprentice
Creates and employs small-scale categorisation systems (to provide personalisation or customisation, or improve findability) within a single digital space.
Practitioner
Creates larger controlled vocabularies or taxonomies that are implemented across a range of shared digital spaces that allows retrieval of assets with similar characteristics. Maintains shared terms over time to ensure coherence. Communicates standards to publishers or authors to ensure compliance.
Master
Oversees multiple interrelated taxonomies or data schemas at an enterprise scale. Incorporates industry standard or open source taxonomies complementary to the enterprise schemas. Manages taxonomies in multiple languages.
